Love that guy!
Fun Run
Aubrey on the run!
Our men in blue keeping the roads safe for the kids!
Garrett taking on the trails!
Our school had a Fun Run for our fundraiser, this was the first time we had done it. Three of my neighbors organized it and did a great job - Andrea, Mary and Summer! The kids ran a course throughout Daybreak along the pathways that are built here. They ended up back at the school for ice pops and an awards assembly. I got to man a station along the route to make sure kids didn't stray and walked the end with Debra. The kids raised $17,000.00! Whew hew! Garrett also won a prize in the awards drawing. Great job Megan, Aubrey and Garrett!

Cake Fight
Zac went to a birthday party for his friend Erendira today. They went to Classic Skating. He came home covered in birthday cake, they had a food fight. The kids all wanted to leave their shirts that way and wear them to school on Monday. The mom in me vetoed that idea. I washed it immediately and come Monday morning he found out that all of the parents had done the same thing. Way to go parents!

She is growing up!
I know I shouldn't think that this story is funny, but I have been laughing since it happened. Megan got her braces on today, being a little sore we went to the store to get her some lunch that was soft since she missed lunch at school. We were at the checkout and the bagger started asking me about Megan. He wanted to know if she was an 85. I said what? He asked again. I said I didn't understand. He wanted to know if she was born in 1985, I said no 1997. He got this look on his face and shook his head and turned around. He was disappointed. I know I shouldn't think its funny that an adult male was interested in my 11 year old daughter, but when in this world did she start looking that old? Megan was so embarrassed, while I could not get control of myself. Mind you I did wait until we were out of range of the bagger to loose complete control. Meg's teenage years are going to be a roller coaster ride, wish us luck!
Megan Braces
Megan went to the Ortho thinking that she would be getting a spacer put in her mouth, this was our third attemp. Each time it came back wrong, this time was no different, it was wrong. Dr. Payne (don't you just love the name) decided that was enough and is now using braces instead and then in a few months she will get metal springs put in hooking the bottom and top teeth to make her upper teeth move back to make more room. Fun stuff!
