January Snow Storms!

Aubrey enjoying the snow

You can't tell very well, but there are stairs and bushes under there! The snow was knee deep just on the front walk.

We had so much snow that they sent us home from church to shovel each other out!

Garrett and Brennon

Lisa and I had the chance to get together with our friends Jen and Kristen. They are sisters that we lived by in California when I was four years old. Our parents have been really good friends all of these years. Our families got together on the 29th of December 2007.

Christmas Day

We had Christmas at our house this year.

I guess some info on the polar express pictures would be nice. Meg and Aubrey performed with Fusion Dance Academy in their musical theater calss. They put on the polar express for Christmas. My dad, sister Lisa and niece Madilyn came to watch. Mary was also there but we didn't get a photo of her.

Aubrey played one of the boys on the train. She loves her snowboarding pajamas!

Zac's Holiday Concert - Elk Ridge

The band classes at Elk Ridge put on a Christmas concert. Zac was in the back most of the time playing percussion.
They did great! We got a couple of shots of him.

Coco our cat loves him the most. He has already survived two attempts on his life.

Mother Daughter Party

We had a Mother Daughter Party for Activity Days. We did each others hair and make up. I got to make up the girls! Heehee! I went all out.

I have made a decision!

Hello all! I have made a decision about the blog today. I have not been doing anything with it for months since I have been worried about security. I have finally realized that I can limit who can see it. I have changed my settings so I have decided to keep the blog. Now as to how often I will update it, you can see it is not that often. Hopefully I will have a day to update soon. You all know I am insane and never say no and today was no different. Along with both PTA's, taking classes at SLCC, church, many kids events, etc., I also said yes to Elk Ridge to be put on their emergency substitute teacher list. Crazy? Yes!!!!!!!!! What am I thinking, middle school, the positive here is that I said Fridays are the only day they can even consider calling since Alan usually is here. If I end up locked up soon you will all know why!

I thought I would bring everyone up to date since Christmas! We have been busy as usual! Too busy.
Zac has baseball, scouts, and percussion. He has made the Honor Roll for the second quarter and earned Student of the Day at his school on his birthday. It was completly coincidence! He has been having back trouble so we are doing doctor visits and seeing a Chiropractor.
Meg is busy with piano, activity days, hip hop and ice skating lessons. We are looking for a flute teacher as well since that is her new passion.
Aubrey also has piano, activity days, hip hop, and ice skating. She is going to start violin lessons as well. Both she and Meg having been self teaching themselves on the new instruments.
Garrett is doing great in school! He is reading now and doing very well in school. His outgoing nature has been coming under control in school, still needs a little work, but it is better!
As for the adults, we are doing good! Tired of the snow, but we are good!

Flooding Problems

A three inch sink under the curbing.

We came home from camping that weekend after the rain to find damage to our new landscaping in our backyard! We made out pretty good thought, lots of houses in the area flooded and some had to be sandbagged. A flash flood went throught the community behind us.

Lots of kids in the neighborhood swam in the water when it started and then the dirt and grim began to bubble up and filled the entire park. Gross!

The park down the street after heavy rains on the second and third of this month!
