Birthday Surprise

My birthday this year was crazy as always but good.  Alan sent me gorgeous flowers, I got a fruit bouquet, and some girls from the ward brought me a birthday card with chocolates.  At one point I had a problem because I had to go to the airport and one of my kids had not gotten home yet. When the girls showed up at the door I asked them if they could possibly babysit for me while I went to the airport.  I came home and Courtney, Erendira, Megan, Aubrey and Caitlyn had made me brownies.  Very nice of them.  I did not eat them that night, the next day I broke a piece off of one of them and notice the inside was blue.  I should have clued in but didn't and put it in my mouth anyway, TOOTHPASTE!  They had taken the chance to get me back for the toothpaste oreos that Mary Cannon and I made them up at girls camp.  I love them all anyway!

Garrett's 8th Birthday

We cut the cake before we took the picture - oops.

We had ten of Garrett's friends come over to our house for his birthday.  From there we walked to the park and played games and had a pinatta.  Happy Birthday baby!

We have been pinked!

We woke up to a yard full of flamingoes this morning.  Much better than toilet papering!  We found out that some neighbor girls Abby and Maggie did it.  They came by two days later and moved them to another yard.  What a cute idea!

Megan later that day.

Megan had her 12th birthday at the Kearns Olympic Oval pool.  We had about 20 kids show up from her school class and neighborhood.  Unfortunately all the boys from our neighborhood were at scout camp that week or we would have had more, including Zac.  Did I say unfortunately?  There were some bumps, we were told that we could use a barbeque area and to bring a gas tank to hook up.  They neglected to add that we also needed to bring the barbeque, they sure made it sound like they had them.  Luckily we had a party group next to us that offered to barbeque our hot dogs for us.  Meg started to not feel good and the last picture shows her later that day, she stayed there for two days with a fever.  Poor thing.  She had a good time despite thanks to a great group of friends.  Thanks to my friends Andrea and Karen for all of their help that day.  I got a call later that Zac was on his way home from camp since boys in their group were throwing up, the camp sent them home.  This was during the first swine flu problems.

2nd Annual Trip to Manti Pageant

This was our 2nd annual trip with the Geertsens.  Karen, Tim and the kids came down.  We camped at our same spot in Manti, Temple Hill RV Campground.  It was a great trip, except for the campground.  The owners were grumpy and there were too many people which made the bathrooms crowded and muddy.  The pageant was amazing!!!
Aubrey and Sammy

Cristen and Alan, with Karen behind (don't know why I cannot find more pictures of their family!).

Our first try at Peach Cobbler, oooh it was good!

Aubrey was told she had to jump in or get thrown in, she has guts the water was anything but warm.

This picture says it all!  Megan was cold!

Zac and Kip (Orion) who came along when the rest of his family had to back out last minute due to a family medical emergency.

Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House

Our family went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House.  It has been wonderful to watch a temple be built in our neighborhood.  Alan and I got to go and help out as volunteers.  Alan got to help with parking, and I got to direct at the baptismal font.  It was amazing.

Church History Museum

We took the family to the Church History Museum. We loved all of the items, it was great to see all of the items from my favorite prophets. Zac had a problem getting out of a chair at one point, it was hilarious!
