Love that guy!
Fun Run
Our school had a Fun Run for our fundraiser, this was the first time we had done it. Three of my neighbors organized it and did a great job - Andrea, Mary and Summer! The kids ran a course throughout Daybreak along the pathways that are built here. They ended up back at the school for ice pops and an awards assembly. I got to man a station along the route to make sure kids didn't stray and walked the end with Debra. The kids raised $17,000.00! Whew hew! Garrett also won a prize in the awards drawing. Great job Megan, Aubrey and Garrett!

Cake Fight
Zac went to a birthday party for his friend Erendira today. They went to Classic Skating. He came home covered in birthday cake, they had a food fight. The kids all wanted to leave their shirts that way and wear them to school on Monday. The mom in me vetoed that idea. I washed it immediately and come Monday morning he found out that all of the parents had done the same thing. Way to go parents!

She is growing up!
I know I shouldn't think that this story is funny, but I have been laughing since it happened. Megan got her braces on today, being a little sore we went to the store to get her some lunch that was soft since she missed lunch at school. We were at the checkout and the bagger started asking me about Megan. He wanted to know if she was an 85. I said what? He asked again. I said I didn't understand. He wanted to know if she was born in 1985, I said no 1997. He got this look on his face and shook his head and turned around. He was disappointed. I know I shouldn't think its funny that an adult male was interested in my 11 year old daughter, but when in this world did she start looking that old? Megan was so embarrassed, while I could not get control of myself. Mind you I did wait until we were out of range of the bagger to loose complete control. Meg's teenage years are going to be a roller coaster ride, wish us luck!
Megan Braces

Megan went to the Ortho thinking that she would be getting a spacer put in her mouth, this was our third attemp. Each time it came back wrong, this time was no different, it was wrong. Dr. Payne (don't you just love the name) decided that was enough and is now using braces instead and then in a few months she will get metal springs put in hooking the bottom and top teeth to make her upper teeth move back to make more room. Fun stuff!Tuesday, September 2, 2008

First Football Game
Zac is playing football this year instead of Fall Ball. It took me by surprise when he came home from practice and announced he like it a lot better than baseball. This sport was hard for me to accept since I am afraid of the hurt factor. I am getting better, there is so much action and so many boys in each play that it is hard to notice who is getting hit, that is a plus for me. He did a great job, it is definatly funner to watch than baseball. Go Bingham Bantams!!! Zac #46! We won 20-0!!!!!

It is never dull!
True to character I am upset again with my builder. Many of you know that we have had all sorts of stupid problems and lousy subcontractors come work on our home. We had our driveway replaced last October due to it crumbled. The builder agreed to do it as warranty work. Today I got a lien notice on my house because Destination never paid for the concrete. Needless to say I am livid, I have called and told them, they are going to discuss it at their meeting today. The receptionist asked me if I was another woman by name so I now know of another name that this is happening too, I was led to believe by a former employee it was $20,000.00 worth so there are quite a few of us. Wish us luck again!

Donuts

Oh my word! Does the picture make you hungry? Zac, Ethan and Kip helped me pick up 50 dozen donuts for the 7th Grade Orientation at Elk Ridge. I am so glad they volunteered, can you imagine me with four carts (I had the fourth one). They also came and volunteered at the school helping the new kids find their classes during the day. Thanks guys!

Swimming with old friends
Sammy, Hannah P., Aubrey

We have had so many reunions these past couple of weeks. My 20th high school reunion (yes, I am that old), lunch with high school friends, all of the members of our ward in California got together, and then the kids had two boys over from California Jonathon and Collin. We took the boys swimming and had a lot of fun. You would not believe the bubbles that came out of the hot tub, it was so bad that they had to pull kids out. I think someone had soap on their suit.
